Oilers rookie C Nugent-Hopkins out indefinitely

Coach Tom Renney didn’t have a timetable for Nugent-Hopkins’ return except to say he’ll miss at least two or three games after getting hurt in a 4-3 win at Chicago on Monday. Nugent-Hopkins was the first player selected in the NHL draft in June and leads rookies with 13 goals, 22 assists and 35 points in 38 games.

The Oilers were also minus defenseman Tom Gilbert, who hurt his knee after being slammed into the boards by Chicago’s Daniel Carcillo.
